Here at the FRC we believe in strengthening the family. We want children to grow up in loving and supportive homes and for them to succeed and be encouraged to do well in all areas of their lives. We also strive to reduce the instances of child abuse in our community.
The Burnett County Family Resource Center INC. was established in the fall of 2007 with support and funding from the state of Wisconsin and grants. In December of 2007 we moved to our current location, 24062 State Highway 35/70. We are a 501 (c) 3, non-profit, organization that serves all families in our community. All services are free and we welcome all who walk through our doors. Our very first program we offered was Monday morning playgroup, which continues today. Now we have expanded our programs to include Monday and Thursday playgroups, , Family Fun Nights, Lil' Chefs, Baby-Go-Round (clothing exchange), Breast Feeding Support Group, supervised visitation services, parenting classes, and a home visiting program.
Our Mission is to serve all families by providing opportunities and activities that promote healthy families and safe communities.
